1. Our Commitment to Copyright Compliance

Fast-Vid respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have established a policy for the prompt handling of copyright infringement claims. This page outlines the procedures for submitting a DMCA takedown notice and how we respond to such claims.

2. No User-Hosted Content

It is important to understand that Fast-Vid does not host, store, upload, or share any user files on our servers. All file conversion is performed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. As a result, Fast-Vid does not maintain a repository of user-uploaded content that could be directly infringing in the traditional sense.

However, the Fast-Vid website itself — including its code, design, branding, and any original content published on our pages — is protected by copyright law. Additionally, if any material displayed on fast-vid.com (such as images, text, or other published content) infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice as described below.

3. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that any content on Fast-Vid infringes your copyright, please send a written notification to our Designated DMCA Agent at dmca@fast-vid.com. To be effective, your notice must include the following information:

1. Your physical or electronic signature (or the signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner).
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material. Because we do not host user files, please provide the specific URL(s) on fast-vid.com where the allegedly infringing material appears.
4. Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages and attorneys' fees. Please ensure your notice is complete and accurate before submitting.

4. Our Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice, Fast-Vid will:

• Acknowledge receipt of the notice within 24 business hours.
• Promptly investigate the claim and remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material if warranted.
• Respond to the complaining party with a description of the action taken within 48 business hours of confirmation.
• Notify the user who posted the content (if identifiable) that the material has been removed or disabled.

Our goal is to resolve all legitimate DMCA claims expeditiously. We typically respond to properly submitted notices within 1 to 2 business days.

5. Counter-Notice Procedures

If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. To be effective, a counter-notice must be sent to dmca@fast-vid.com and include the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Fast-Vid may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complaining party and inform them that we will replace the removed material or cease disabling access to it within 10 business days, unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the alleged infringer.

6. Repeat Infringers

Fast-Vid maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are repeat infringers. While Fast-Vid does not host user-uploaded files or maintain user accounts for file storage, we will block IP addresses and implement other technical measures against any user or entity that repeatedly submits infringing material or engages in abusive DMCA practices.

8. Legal Acknowledgment

Fast-Vid reserves the right to seek damages and attorneys' fees from any party that submits a knowingly false or fraudulent DMCA notice or counter-notice. We take our legal obligations seriously and expect the same from all parties who engage with us through the DMCA process.
